System Requirements
System requirements for all SpaceClaim products
(including Professional, LT, LTX, Home, Viewer*, and TraceParts® Editions):
* Viewer is SpaceClaim installed without a license
Operating Systems:
Microsoft® Windows XP with Service Pack 2 or later
Microsoft® Windows Vista™ or later
SpaceClaim is not supported running on emulated or a virtual Windows environment (see note below). However, Intel-based Apple hardware running native Windows using Boot Camp is subject to the same hardware requirements as other Intel-based hardware.
Video Card:
Requires Full DirectX® 9c, February 2007 edition or greater, hardware support, 64 MB of graphics memory or higher, Shader 2.0 hardware support, 32 bits per pixel, 1024x768 minimum resolution. Please ensure that you have the latest graphics driver for your card and that Direct3D Acceleration is enabled (use the 'dxdiag' tool to check this).
The following commonly used video cards support the above requirements (1):

ATI® Radeon R300, R420, R520, R600, or R700 series.
Radeon 9x00 cards (9700, 9800, …) or newer
NVIDIA®:
NVIDIA GeForce® FX, 6, 7, or 8 series. NVIDIA FX5200s or newer

AMD FireGL™ T2-128 or higher (including the ‘Mobility’ series for laptops)

Minimum: 512MB RAM (32-bit), 1Gb RAM (64-bit)
Recommended: 2GB RAM or higher, 256MB of graphics memory

Note regarding Microsoft® .NET Framework 3.0:
SpaceClaim requires .NET 3.0, and an installer for .NET 3.0 is included within the SpaceClaim installer, but that installation will fail if the existing .NET installation is corrupt, and the SpaceClaim install will not complete successfully. This is primarily a Windows XP problem because .NET 3.0 is included as part of Windows Vista.
The solution is to manually install .NET 3.0 using Microsoft's web site, Microsoft Update or Windows Update. On some occasions, this may involve cleaning the .NET installation by uninstalling any .NET components and re-installing them all. More details can be found here.
If you are installing on 64-bit systems, .NET needs to be installed manually from the link above.
Once the .NET 3.0 installation is successful, the SpaceClaim installation should proceed normally.
Note on Emulated platforms (like VMware Workstation or Parallels):
SpaceClaim is NOT supported on emulated platforms, but some users have been able to operate SpaceClaim in these environments by installing Microsoft DirectX SDK (VMware users need to disable experimental DirectX support).
